Plenum Block Off Plates
This kit contains everything you need to block off all the intake plenum accessories on your Z31. You can block off the idle air control valve (IAC), cold start idle up valve, and the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve as well as the EGR port in the exhaust manifold. All the bolts needed are included as well to make it a quick, easy install.
We recommend using a thin layer of black RTV to seal these block off plates (not included with the kit) or the original gaskets if they are still in good condition.
A note about this kit. This kit is most useful when going to a stand alone ECU and cleaning up the engine bay and intake from components that are no longer usable. This kit contains a block off plate for the idle air control valve which is useful with a stock ECU to help your car idle high on cold starts, and when the AC is turned on. By removing this component, you may need to adjust the idle screw on your throttle body to increase the base idle. This also means your car will idle higher when hot.
